JERUSALEM, Feb. 12 (Xinhua) -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement on Thursday that the conditions for a good deal between the United States and Iran may be created.

"The conditions Trump is creating, combined with the fact that they must understand that they were wrong the last time they did not make a deal, could be the conditions for a good deal," said Netanyahu before leaving the United States for Israel.

He added that during his talks with the U.S. president on Wednesday, he "expressed general skepticism about the nature of any deal with Iran."

The Israeli prime minister noted that if a deal is indeed reached, it must also include "the ballistic missiles and the Iranian proxies."

Netanyahu arrived at the White House on Wednesday morning and left without a press conference or a statement.

The meeting, their seventh since the start of Trump's second term, reportedly lasted roughly three hours.

Before the meeting, Netanyahu met with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and formally signed up as a member of the "Board of Peace."

After his closed-door meeting with Netanyahu, Trump said that U.S.-Iran talks will continue to see whether a deal can be consummated.
