BEIJING, June 20 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 jolted South Sandwich Islands Region at 2108 GMT on Friday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 59.10 degrees south latitude and 25.95 degrees west longitude. ■
