LISBON, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) -- Portugal's installed data center capacity has increased by 23 percent since 2024, placing it tenth among the world's fastest-growing markets for the sector, according to data released on Tuesday.
The data, published by the consultancy Savills and based on market intelligence from DC Byte, showed that Portugal's data center sector is expanding rapidly, although its overall capacity remains relatively small compared with established global hubs.
According to Savills, Portugal has gained significant visibility among major global data center investors and operators, with ongoing projects and new investment intentions positioning the country as an increasingly important destination for large-scale data centers. ■
