Former Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has criticized AUKUS, warning that Australia's growing reliance on the United States could come at the expense of its sovereignty and security.
Speaking at a public hearing in Sydney on Monday, Turnbull argued that Australia is at its strongest and safest when it is "sovereign and self-reliant."
