Recently concluded in the eastern coastal city of Qingdao, the 3rd Chinese Archaeology International Summer School at Shandong University brought together young scholars from 10 countries and regions for two immersive weeks of exploring Chinese archaeology.
Launched on July 12, the program delved into Silk Road and Haidai archaeology through lectures on underwater archaeology, plant archaeology, metallurgy, geoarchaeology and more.
Participants also joined lab visits, academic forums, cultural workshops and city tours, gaining new perspectives on Chinese history and heritage and fostering global academic exchange.
