BEIJING, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- Zhang Shuofu, deputy head of the standing committee of the Guangdong Provincial People's Congress in south China, is under disciplinary and supervisory investigation, an official statement said Thursday.
Zhang is being investigated by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China and the National Commission of Supervision for suspected severe violations of discipline and law, the statement said. ■
