CARACAS, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- Tax revenue from Venezuela's non-oil sector increased by 22.6 percent in the first nine months of this year, Acting President Delcy Rodriguez said Thursday.
Tax revenue from the non-oil sector reached more than 7.9 billion U.S. dollars between January and September, Rodriguez said at the 82nd Annual Assembly of the Venezuelan Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Production here.
The figure stood at 1.5 billion dollars in 2021 and had risen to 6.5 billion dollars in 2025, she said.
Venezuela has sought to diversify its economy and reduce its dependence on oil revenue in the face of U.S. sanctions targeting its energy sector. ■
