BEIJING, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 jolted New Britain Region, Papua New Guinea at 2031 GMT on Tuesday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 4.64 degrees south latitude and 153.07 degrees east longitude. ■
